PACHEM-BZ

Cold Flow Improver for RME and FAME

General information:

Pachem-BZ is a multifunctional winter type additive package for of RME and FAME bio-ester fuels. It contains Cold Flow Improver used to enhance low-temperature properties as well as composition of antioxidant, anti-corrosion, anti-microbiological active agents in high-boiling aromatic hydrocarbon carrier. It is specially designed to reduce both CFPP and Pour Point of the RME/FAME fuels. Depending on the composition of RME/FAME, it can reduce CFPP much below -20oC even down to -30oC. It additionally provide excellent anti-aging and anti-corrosion properties. Presence of a very efficient biocide components guaranties full microbiological protection of the bio-ester fuels against bacteria, yeast and fungus.
Pachem-BZ dosing range depends on origin of RME/FAME and its chemical composition as well as desired CFPP, PP and oxidation stability and anti-corrosion protection level. The package is fully compatible with bio-ester fuels, Diesel Fuels and lubricating oils.

Application:

Pachem-BZ can be dosed undiluted into RME/FAME blends down to temperatures of 30°C depending on the characteristic of RME into which is dosed. The RME mixture should be at least 10°C above its cloud point at the time of additive injection. Pre-dilution of the product in RME/FAME (e.g. 50%) before dosing to the main stream (or batch) of RME/FAME is acceptable; it requires recalculation (adjustment) of the treat rate. A temperature of 40-50°C is recommended for storing the product. The product temperature should not exceed 70°C. Normally it is recommended to heat the product only directly before use. However, storage at elevated temperature over a period of 3-3 months is acceptable. After storage at low temperatures the product should be homogenized before use; separation of phases in the product at low temperatures is an expected and acceptable process.

Treat Rate:

Pachem-BZ is dosed to RME/FAME at concentration of 1600-2500 mg/kg depending on the RME/FAME chemical composition and origin and client's demands (suggested treat rate 1800-2000 mg/kg for typical RME give CFPP value much below -20°C and oxidation stability in Rancimat test above 8 h).

Packaging:

Pachem-BZ is available in 200 l barrels, in bulk or 1000-litre tanks (IBC). Other types of packaging are available on request.
