Pachem-HHO_62

Additive for Heavy Heating Oils

General information:

Pachem-HHO_62 is a multifunctional additive package for Heavy Heating Oils designed to improve fuel economy and boiler/furnace system cleanliness and to reduce corrosion caused by vanadium and sulphur present in the oil. Due to specially selected constituents, Pachem-HHO_62 provides the following functionalities:
• detergency,
• vanadium and sulphur anticorrosion,
• improved combustion process
Presence of very active Iron and Magnesium containing components provides additional protection against high-temperature corrosion and effectively improves burning process. The package not only improves the combustion of heavy fuel oil, but also improves the combustion of biomass, coal, coke and petroleum coke. Pachem-HHO_62 is a liquid from amber to brown colour and remains stable in the wide scope of temperatures.

Application:

One way to prevent boiler system damage, caused by high- temperature and low-temperature Vanadium corrosion, is the addition of substances (based on the magnesium compounds) by modifying the properties of the fuel. Also, iron and calcium supplements interacting with magnesium improve combustion and reduce excess air.The carrier is a highly aromatic solvent with flash point above 62 °C (above the III explosion group). The advantages of using the additive composition comprising iron and magnesium compounds are as follows:
• Increase of the melting point of sodium and vanadium salts preventing from corrosion and formation of sludge,
• Increase of brittleness and fragility of existing deposits, what makes their removal easier
• Reduction of sulfur trioxide - SO3,
• Lowering of the dew point due to sulfuric acid reduction,
Better flow of heat through the boiler superheater tubes due to clean surfaces provided by the additive
• Prevention or evident reduction of corrosion,
• Reduction of the boiler operating costs,
• Reduction of emissions of smoke and deposits

Treat Rate:

Typical dosage of Pachem-HHO_62 is 800-1200 ppm m/m. Suggested treat rate is 1000 ppm m/m. The treat rate should be adjusted to base oil quality (mainly vanadium and sulphur content) and client’s requirements for performance and corrosion limits.

Packaging:

Pachem-HHO_62 is available in bulk, 200 l barrels, or 1000-litre tanks (IBC). Other types of packaging are available on request.
