Range: + 8 – ( -50)

Unit: 0C

Objects: liquid fuels and biofuels, other petroleum products, multifunctional additives for fuels

The pour point of petroleum specimen is an index of the lowest temperature of its utility for certain applications.

Summary of Test Method: After preliminary heating, the sample is cooled at a specified rate and examined at intervals of 3 0C for flow characteristics. The lowest temperature at which movement of the specimen is observed is recorded as the pour point.

Requirements for pour point of heating fuels according to PN-C-96024 are:

- for light heating fuels : max. – 20 0C,

- for heavy heating fuels: max. + 40 0C.
